Two Veils – One Removed!

Matthew 27:51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

2 Corinthians 3:14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the Old Testament; which [vail] is done away in Christ.

One veil, withheld for centuries from many, concealed Salvation in the Temple,
Torn asunder top to bottom by the hand of God in Jesus Christ!
“It is finished” – always His plan,

Upon a humble and humiliating cross, He bore the weight of sin,
Jesus did what I could never do – bring His lost sheep home!

Two veils, and one has been removed!

There is only One Way, One Truth, and One True Light,
– And that is through God’s Only Son, Jesus Christ!

One veil removed by the payment for the cost of sin, sin, terrible sin!
One death, only one that could pay the price!
His atonement made it complete, and no more sacrifice – He was and is the final!

One veil removed – yet one remains!
Your veil of sin, my friend!
You stand outside His fold, looking in,
Yes, you stand outside His fold, looking in!

But you do not understand because a veil blinds you to your sin, terrible sin!
You think you are so good,
You would give your shirt to help a fellow man,
Yet you do not see the truth and the misery within.

You wonder why some are so happy,
And ask what their smiles are about,
How can they love each other so?

Because you are blind, blinded by your sin of unbelief!

My friend, I pray that your eyes be opened,
That you be born anew with your veil removed!
One veil removed, and perhaps one day the other veil too!
