As I started to update our Biblical Discernment Ministries site on the Alpha Course (it is quite dated with broken links will fix them now) this one came in today by Stand Up For Truth –  I highly recommend this for any experiencing the resurgence of Alpha in their church and why you should avoid it!

What is the ALPHA Course?

Aside that Alpha came out of a church known for the so called holy laughter and has the endorsements of Rick Warren, Bill Hybels, Tony Campolo,  Tim Keller, J. I. Packer, Joyce Meyer and many others – there is plenty to set off alarm bells for any Bible reading discerning Christian! The ecumenism is clear with a Roman Catholic Bishop on the Alpha Course board of directors so almost anyone feels they can bring it into their church.
