What Kind of Fool are You!?

A Galactic PortalSpiraling galaxies and moving with precision;
Magnificently powerful, and yet unseen by man until recent days.
Beauty that is almost unspeakable in words,
Brighter than any of our imaginations,
Full of colors; an awe to behold
In a creation of universal size an expanse that appears limitless!
And there are thousands of you, and who knows, maybe millions
Filled with billions and billions of stars.

What are we to say of what our eyes can see outside of our microscopic speck of dust on which we live? No matter your IQ, why are you not in awe of it all? How can you explain it? So much detail. So much infinite power, and infinite distances we can only theorize about in our puny brains! How can you claim or come to a conclusion there is not a God?

How can you be so foolish!? You stand upon part of this creation! You breathe creation in the very atoms of oxygen body, made of trillions of atoms which are then made into molecules that make the blood which carries the oxygen to your flesh so you can live. So much more than that – you have a soul to know you are alive!

More than trillions, of atoms or molecules up to the size of stars – numbers we can only try to compute make up all of what we can see. Regardless if it is through the most powerful microscope or telescope, they cannot account for it except to conclude as they say, ‘this is bigger than us’ and we are nothing, virtually NOTHING at all in comparison.

But there is more than what the eye can behold. There is beauty beyond the life we know yet our foolish science would deny it. We have a soul that is precious beyond measure– another creation outside of the physical realm that only our Creator God can measure! To any foolish reader denying there is a God, you are truly the fool if you do not even question yourself about the truth of what makes us sentient, aware, feel, touch, taste, smell and able to love beyond the mere biology of these things. Seriously, what is the point of living just to die and eventually all  memory of you passes out of existence?

The fact that we live in a universe that appears beyond measure in distance, power, beauty and more speaks of something greater and beyond our mortal understanding. Science fiction tries hard as it may to stretch the realm possibility by feeding our imaginations with the idea of intergalactic travel… yet here we sit on Earth, our tiny, tiny planet so often blind to how small we are and at the same time make ourselves the center of the universe! Fools we are to think any one of our lives has any lasting value – eternally speaking that is!

Open your eyes if you can, allow that intellectual brain of yours to take a break , or did you completely lose your humanity to become a computer? Think just for a moment, if there were a [g]od, how would you know it? If there is God and He gave a whit about your existence how could you know it unless He told you? The Bible, God’s Word, gives us a host of verses confirming we are dead without Him, but that in mercy  through grace has reached out to His creation  because He loves us! If as the Bible says we were made in His image, wouldn’t logic dictate He would have feelings? We are so wrapped up with our day to day living, the news, and material things we forget what lies ahead for each and every one of us, unpleasant as it is, we will all die one day. Maybe you’ve lost someone recently, maybe not. I implore you to think again before  refuting me and what I am sharing.

Some of you will say I am some fool for God, then so be it! I would rather be the fool who is the least of His creation, the worst sinner but know my soul is bound for Heaven! So who is the fool in the end?

You who deny there is a God or would deny He would reach out to  you when death calls on you? Will it be some belief in a higher consciousness ascending to some higher plane of existence, or are you so dull as to think you will become nothing returning to the dust to be remembered no more?

One of the greatest minds this world has known recently died in his belief in unbelief, “The belief that heaven or an afterlife awaits us is a “fairy story” for people afraid of death” – Stephen Hawking

The fool hath said in his heart, [There is] no God. Psalms 14:1a

If you are like Hawking and will not consider what I am saying, please stop reading since you will blow it off as a waste of your time. Besides insulting those who believe in God, I pray for your soul which was created in God’s image. Indeed, there are a lot of fairytales out there and I say with confidence it is you – if  that is what you believe. Besides, your belief in that fairytale will amount to nothing good for yourself or anyone else – it is an empty faith devoid of everything that makes us human. So you can stop here because if you were standing in front of me , I would tell you that is how what is evil in this world began – logically speaking you have made your fairytale ‘a god of self.’

Stephen Hawking refused the existence of the God of the Universe and said he makes no sense. I counter that and say, existence without God is what makes no sense, no eternal purpose, no lasting reason or explanation for all we see of such a magnificent creation!

Besides, it is beyond arrogant on our part to think there is not something far bigger than us and that reality is not what we can merely see, and as millions can tell you it is no fairytale!  I believe we do have someone beyond our tiny imaginations to explain it to us the GOD who is there that created life and the universe in which we all live and die.

While I live in a world where many refuse to acknowledge there is a God, or at least a God who cares about us, who made the heavens and the Earth, choosing to ignore anyone who believes in God doesn’t make God any less real. Hawking’s intelligence did not prove him to be wise as the following quote implicates: “that God is a mere crutch for our weak minds”:

“We are each free to believe what we want, and it’s my view that the simplest explanation is; there is no God. No one created our universe, and no one directs our fate. This leads me to a profound realization that there probably is no heaven and no afterlife either. We have this one life to appreciate the grand design of the universe and for that, I am extremely grateful.” Hawking

I notice he says “the simplest explanation,” “leads me to a profound realization,” “there probably is no..,” and finally “grand design.”   Is it simple? or profound? but probably (guessing) a grand design (designed by whom? or what?) In his attempt to sound intelligent, he sounds confused, but in his own wisdom he is made foolish because God is not the author of confusion! God, heaven, and the afterlife go hand in glove so a person cannot emphatically refute the one and guess on the others.

Maybe you can walk away feeling grateful but beyond yourself – who cares if you are like Hawking and what good has come of it? His belief amounts only to a pointless personal gratification for himself that he once lived end of story. Really? Doesn’t that leave you feeling deeply empty, like ‘am I not missing something here?’ Some think like Hawking believing against a ‘God belief’ all the while putting faith in something for which is not faith but in fact pure fiction! If this is where you are today maybe I can get you to reconsider?

Again, consider the size of the universe, at least what we can see. We sit on a planet in that vastness of space, in the arm of one of those trillions of galaxies, in an environment that is hostile to life as we know it. Space is a cold or hot an unfeeling thing; it is a pretty lonely place – even if you have some 7 billion here on Earth to keep you company and even if you are the most popular person on the planet. Say you could live a thousand years (which we cannot) it does not measure as a flicker in the scope of time and space!

Think about the overwhelming size of the universe in which we live, the tremendous beauty we see through our telescopes, or through our naked eyes when looking at the skies on a clear night full of stars; how can this be by chance?

“When people ask me if a God created the universe, I tell them that the question itself makes no sense. Time didn’t exist before the Big Bang, so there is no time for God to make the universe in. It’s like asking directions to the edge of the earth; The Earth is a sphere; it doesn’t have an edge; so looking for it is a futile exercise.” Hawking

A fool’s mouth [is] his destruction, and his lips [are] the snare of his soul. Proverbs 18:7

But what if there is a God? There is much order in what we behold. What keeps it all from simply falling apart? What decided there would be laws of physics to explain it? Hawking’s argument is a ‘chicken and the egg’ of what came first and I believe is a logical fallacy since God (if you were to consider that God is eternal, which is what Christians and others believe) created time itself. Hawking’s argument makes no sense because to accept what he says means all of the universe is mere chance, some physical matter that existed then exploded; that through eons came to form what we have today as if it needs no explanation because it just is what it is… then again what set up the laws of physics so this unimaginable blob of matter would become millions of galaxies, with trillions of stars and so on?

A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise [man] keepeth it in till afterwards. Proverbs 29:11

Time is a measure of what is finite versus what is infinite. Hawking, while brilliant in many ways, misses the simplicity of God that even a child can understand. Hawking’s statement assumes there was a ‘big bang,’ which was presented as nothing more than a theory by a man would deny there is a Creator God. What we can see from the Hubble telescope would appear to contradict that theory at the very least. Based on what is fact, we see a universe far greater than our imaginations can fully grasp. While people like Hawking attempt to explain the universe in natural terms, I see no explanation that satisfies the obvious questions of how life came forth from an explosion so the concession so logically I state there must be supernatural terms to explain the universe and our existence.

If you still cannot consider there is a God who made the universe then what gives life itself any meaning or purpose other than to just live it and by the social constructs of the day? The world in which we live has a growing number of those who believe we should throw all rules to the wind and live in anarchy to do whatever pleases us. For me a world without order is no life at all, and the funny part is even atheists (many of whom have a bit of common sense) would agree because a totally self-serving hedonistic lifestyle with no moral compass would collapse on itself.

When you honestly consider life (not just your own) but all life – what’s the purpose if no creator is out there, no God who cares? The value of life drops like a rock, and people live with an attitude of, ‘let us eat, drink and be merry; for tomorrow we may die.’ Living to maximize your pleasure in this life without some social norms is destructive and history proves it.

Some of you (myself included) explored for a brief time living a life of that so-called life of happiness following the crowd, not making waves, but each day after I woke, I asked myself, isn’t there something more to living? I was never comfortable with the thought feeling like there was something missing!

Maybe you have some metaphysical New Age mumbo-jumbo that courses through your brain, and maybe you believe some voice in your head might guide the way like in a science fiction, but then your conscience pricks you saying that is utter nonsense.

Again, – What if there is a God? Take all I have shared into your thoughts, the vastness of the beauty of space down to what you can actually see, feel, touch and taste on Earth with such magnificent detail, beyond mathematical equations you conjure up or any other genius of our day can try to explain it all . Consider the fragility of life, can mere chance control  temperatures so they don’t suddenly drop or rise and wipe us all out? Ask what if what we see is not by mere chance and there was and is an intelligent design beyond our ability to imagine or comprehend!?

I believe the trillions of stars that we can now see, there are more beyond to be discovered as we build a bigger telescope! Doesn’t that change the probabilities that the Universe is not empty and purposeless?

Science fiction, now posits the ideas of a ‘multiverse’ meaning there are multiple universes existing in multiple dimensions… while these ideas are unproven, I do not believe they are supportable using science as we know it. Many of these imaginative science fiction thinkers portray the believers in God as foolish, or weak-minded yet at the same time adhere to a kind of faith in a global consciousness and/or assign some pantheistic idea within movies such as, Avatar or Star Wars and that we are all a part of some greater whole without individuality connected by some sort of ‘force.’

For me, every fiber of my being screams we are uniquely individual created in the image of our Creator God! While many today give themselves to these science fiction ideas including role playing, without a shred of evidence to support their belief/faith. Some go ‘beyond’ inducing meditation to help them understand, and run off  down the rabbit hole into the wild world of the metaphysical to make their own reality, and some even resort to drugs to reach a higher plain of existence for answers to life. But I say it is not so complicated, and while we may not understand every aspect of our existence we can actually know the truth!

Again, ponder that there really is a perfect God who made us. Isn’t that far more probable than this infinite Universe being empty and purposeless??? Even one of the smartest men who ever lived could not answer – I choose to big the biggest fool for God I can be!!!

Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
1 Corinthians 3:18

Similar to what I have said before, God the one who made it all, including you and me actually cared for and loved His creation – how might He let us know? The Bible among other books out in the world claim to have the answer but the Bible stands apart from other religions and remarkably can be shown to be geologically, and historically accurate stretching back over thousands of years. No other book or written work compares with an account of creation and actually lifts up the concept that there REALLY is a God out there and that He DID communicate and CONTINUES to communicate with us today through the written Words of the Bible.
The Bible introduces us to God, our maker who is three in one; God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and God the Holy Spirit. The Bible gives the whole plan for His creation, and something else I promised to reveal earlier, it is something we cannot do for ourselves – salvation from death and a place called Hell! Many churches have forgotten the way of the Bible thinking they can do God a favor with their own ideas of how to please Him. There is only one way, John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Through Jesus alone is the way to God, there is no other way – Why, you ask, can there not be another way?

Look at your technology for example. If you put only one password on a device, how far will you get entering the wrong password unless you change it? Take that further, I give you the password but you still enter something else – how far did that get you? Simplicity is at the heart of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!  So many want to do things their way and then foolishly die and face an eternal horror (a real place) called Hell – when God’s way offers so much through His Son. You can become a co-heir of creation, it is immeasurable! Dare I say it like one of those annoying ads? But wait there is more! These wonderful things I allude to you can experience with a peace and joy beyond what words can describe! Jesus can make you whole, giving a great and fantastic hope through faith of a bright future with God himself!

For me knowing God through my Savior Jesus Christ goes beyond the words I read, the assurance of my salvation overrides my emotions – that knowledge empowers my very being which furthers my joy of life in Him. Words can only begin to express how great a salvation God gave the believer of Jesus Christ His Son. Put that in perspective of where your faith lives, how very, very, very small we really are in this moment in time and space – that the Creator God of THE UNIVERSE has reached out His hand by way of His only Son to you! Yes, even you! You cannot say no!

John 3:14-21 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
