Excerpt:

At the end of the discussion, I am most concerned for rank-and-file members of the Body of Christ who will make this work appear successful according to the author’s true intention, and though presented in the guise of “Christian fiction”, accept it as doctrinal truth on an equal footing with Scripture. We already have too many Believers whose only knowledge of eschatology comes from works claiming to be fiction such the Left Behind series, or only understand spiritual warfare through Frank Peretti’s This Present Darkness, or an alarmingly bulging list of Christian fiction authors of the widest variety whose themes are increasingly replacing direct contact with Scripture.

Genesis 6:4 “There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare [children] to them, the same [became] mighty men which [were] of old, men of renown.

Beware of those teaching the Nephilim in Genesis 6:4 are anything more than HUMANS!

There are a rash of teachings where Christians are being taught the Nephilim are actually the result of fallen angels mating with human women! A quick Google search will return a large number of results and a closer look of those promoting this false teaching will show they treat the Nephilim as BIBLICAL FACT to being something other than human beings.

I think too many are being swept away with the world’s science fiction and other mythology promoted from the Left Behind series and last year’s The Harbinger just to name a couple. Many are ripe for this latest in deceptions distracting Christians from the Gospel!

One excerpt go to the link above for the entire piece:Although the pretribulation rapture doctrine is very popular and is even considered so crucial to Christianity that it is made a test of a person’s orthodoxy in some denominations, Bible colleges and seminaries, the exegetical and theological arguments used by its advocates are all classic cases of forcing one’s theological presuppositions onto particular texts (eisegesis). The purpose of this brief study is to show that the pretribulation rapture theory is not plainly taught or directly stated in any place in Scripture, cannot be deduced from biblical teaching, contradicts the general teaching of the Bible regarding Christ’s second coming and was never taught in any branch of the church prior to 1830.” (Brian M. Schwertley)

A Response to Questions About Our Article: No One Will Be Left Behind

As stated in the article, any reference to Jesus’ coming again is in connection to His Second Coming. Acts 1:11 says He will return as He left (paraphrased). He was physically on the earth and ascended in a cloud; He will descend in a cloud and physically return to the earth. There will be no partial return to gather the saints followed by a complete return seven years later. Throughout history, neighboring allied armies gathered in one central place before going to battle. It is the same with the Second Coming. Jesus will come with saints already with him and gather those of us still on this earth to him in the clouds before proceeding on to finish the battle and bring an end to this corrupt world.

The rapture is the “same event” the following three verses are talking about?

John 14:2, 3 “In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” The context and key note of these verses is His promise of coming again, hence the reason He is preparing a place. (Second Coming, not rapture)

John 11:25, 26 The raising of Lazarus from the dead. Jesus was comforting Martha, “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?”

This reference is about salvation and eternal life. John 3:16 is also concerning salvation and eternal life but we have never seen it used in connection to the rapture.

1 Thess. 4:16, 17 with its counterpart in 1 Cor. 15:51, 52 is speaking to Jesus’ Second Coming, not a rapture.

If a person has a suppositional seed planted in their head, and that seed is allowed to grow little by little until it is firmly planted, then it is that corrupted root which will take hold disallowing the true vine its rightful place. All the supposed support for the rapture teaching has been and will continue to be taken out of context in order to keep it alive. It doesn’t matter what material or teacher the rapture theory is learned from now, C. I. Scofield was among the initial driving forces, as well as a major component in planting the pretrib supposition and distorting the alleged supporting verses through his reference Bible notes. It was his reference Bible that was the chosen teaching tool for the theory since the early 1900’s. As long as people are caught up in the rapture theory they will be reaping their eschatological fruit from the wrong vine and find themselves going into battle with a portion of their armor missing because they won’t be prepared for the trials to come!

________________________

We apparently left out a definition. Below are the definitions to rapture and transport in the 1828 Noah Webster’s Dictionary, recognized by many who study the meanings of individual words used in the KJV, followed by the etymology of rapture in the Oxford Exhaustive Dictionary ©2013. The etymology (origin) does not change regardless of when and how the word is used, or misused.

- Note: Nowhere is the definition of rapture in the 1828 Noah Webster’s Dictionary, or any other dictionary for that matter, associated with a doctrine of the Bible. It may be a courtesy mention in modern dictionaries, but nothing more. If this pretribulational doctrine teaching is so important, was this just a horrible oversight? OR is it as we proposed that the etymology of the word rapture proves it not only obsolete, but unqualified to be defined in eschatological terms.

1828 Webster’s Dictionary definition:

Rapture: n. [L. raptus, rapio]

A seizure by violence

Transport; ecstasy; violence of a pleasing passion; extreme joy or pleasure

Rapidity with violence; a hurrying along with velocity; as rolling with torrent rapture

Enthusiasm; uncommon heat of imagination

Raptured: a. Ravished; transported
Rapturist: n. An enthusiast
Rapturous: a. Ecstatic; transporting; ravishing; as rapturous joy, pleasure or delight

Transport: v.t. [L. transport; trans and porto, to carry]

To carry or convey from one place to another, either by means of beasts or vehicles on land, or by ships in water, or by balloons in air; as, to transport the baggage of an army; to transport goods from one country to another; to transport troops over a river.

To carry into banishment, as a criminal. Criminals are transported as a punishment for their crimes, which often amounts to banishment.

To hurry or carry away by violence of passion.

They laugh as if transported with some fit of passion.

To ravish with pleasure; to bear away the soul in ecstasy; as, to be transported with joy.

To remove from one place to another, as a ship by means of hawsers and anchors.

Transport: n.

Transportation; carriage; conveyance.

The Romans stipulated with the Carthaginians to furnish them with ships for

      transport and war.

A ship or vessel employed for carrying soldiers, warlike stores or provisions from one place to another, or to convey convicts to the place of their destination.

Rapture; ecstasy. The news of victory was received with transports of joy.

A convict transported or sentenced to exile.

To transport is not defined to mean caught up in the air, rather it is defined as various forms of physically carrying someone or something from one place to another, or as in the definitions above; number four in the v.t. and number three as a n. in connection to the real definition of rapture. All other variations of the word transport are defined repetitiously as above.

Oxford Exhaustive Dictionary ©2013:
Rapture:
Pronunciation: Brit. /ˈraptʃə/ , U.S. /ˈræp(t)ʃər/
Forms: see rapt v. and -ure suffix1.
Etymology: <rapt v. + -ure suffix1. Compare post-classical Latin raptura poaching, rape (8th cent. in British sources) and Middle French rapture abduction (late 15th cent. in an apparently isolated attestation). Compare capture n. Compare earlier rapt n. and raption n.

With sense 4a compare the note at rapt adj.
4a. The act of conveying a person from one place to another, esp. to heaven; the fact of being so conveyed. Obs. [obsolete]

In Christian eschatology (see sense 4b) after the use of classical Latin rapere rape.2 in the Vulgate (1 Thessalonians 4:17), where it translates ancient Greek ἁρπάζειν to snatch away, to seize (see harpy n.). [bold emphasis mine]

The above definition makes it clear rapere is the root origin for rape not rapture. This is how 1 Thess. 4:17 was erroneously translated in the Vulgate. Any and all Bible versions adopting that definition is also in error. Rapere is often used interchangeably with raptus and rapio as the pretrib proof to define rapture. We as Christians should be appalled to use that term to describe our meeting with Jesus in the clouds. Perhaps that is why for many generations the word rapture has been obsolete in reference to end-time eschatology; that is, until Darby and Scofield re-popularized it.

A quote from Noah Webster: Introduction to his 1828 Dictionary under the heading Etymology.

“Irregular as is the orthography of the English Language, and unsettled or corrupt as is the pronunciation, there is nothing either in English or in any other language of which I have any knowledge, which exhibits so strikingly the low state of philology as the etymological deductions of words, or the history of their origin, affinities and primary signification. To enable the young inquirer to estimate the erudition, correctness, or negligence of writers on this subject, and to awaken more attention to this branch of learning, I will state briefly the results of my researches and the opinions which I have been compelled to form on the merits of the principal treatises on this subject. And if these opinions or this statement should be charged to egotism, or my over-weening confidence in the success of my own investigations, my apology is, that I have suffered so much myself by a misplaced confidence in the erudition of writers; I have so often embraced errors which it has cost me more labor to unlearn than to learn; that if I can prevent my fellow-citizens, who have a taste for this study from being subjected to the same evils, I shall think the advantage obtained more than a balance for any unmerited imputation.” [underline emphasis mine]

_________________________

Denying the existence of the rapture is not denying the return of Christ and it is most definitely not an apostasy to do so, because the rapture is the doctrine of man. However, it would be correct to say the apostasy is the creation of the rapture. Now knowing the true meaning of the word and that it is a belief born from a perversion of God’s Word, why would any Christian want to defend it as an infallible truth?

________________________

Matt. 24:1-28 is a forewarned description of the destruction by Titus nothing more, verses 29-31 answers the two future prophetic questions. Titus’ story is retold in Mark 13:1-23 followed by the description of Jesus’ return in 24-27, as is Luke’s account in 21:6-24a; 24b-29. Each one of them might be going into more or less detail than the others, but they are all describing the same things in the same order as it was foretold to them. The book of Mark was written in A.D. 32 while Matt., Luke, and John were written in A.D. 33. They were all disciples of Christ, and though their styles of writing are different their individual accounts are in unity. None of them contain dual prophecy!

Scofield’s notes attempt to explain these passages by cross referencing Dan. 9:27 as a supporting verse, but instead of pointing directly to the verse, he chooses to refer to his own notes about the verse. He does the same (on the same page) when referencing Rev. 7:14—note “the great tribulation” incorporating Darby’s error of adding “the” before “great tribulation.” There is something suspicious about a man who often refers to his own notes to explain scripture rather than allowing scripture to speak for itself.

_____________________

The first sentence of Dan. 9:26 says, “And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself:” This is simply telling us when Messiah will be cut off. The rest of the verse is not about Christ’s crucifixion, nor is it about Christ or the antichrist. It is an explanation of events in Daniel’s future which was fulfilled by Titus. The abominations, the end (of the war), and the desolations in this verse are all concerning Titus. As for the 62 weeks, the verse says “after.” There is no time indicated as to how long after the 62 weeks before Messiah is cut off.

The three and a half years of Christ’s ministry ending in His being “cut off” followed by Titus’ war corresponds perfectly to what Gabriel is describing in v. 26. I ask you to prayerfully reread The Simplicity of Daniel again putting aside what you have been taught, and see if it makes sense. It truly does not need to be so complicated.

Will All Of Israel Be Saved? – The Pretrib way versus the Bible’s Way

Romans 11:25-26 “For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:”

One of the most unbiblical and destructive doctrines being taught today is the belief that all the physical Jews will become saved when Christ returns. In essence Pretribulationalism teaches two separate salvation plans, one for the physical Jews and one for the rest of the world. It seems they believe Gentiles are saved through the blood of Christ and the physical Jews are saved at the return of Christ en masse. This is a cruel doctrine because the Jewish people have been lied to by a false doctrine. Jewish evangelism is not a priority because many believe that since they will be saved anyway, they should concentrate on other people groups who won’t be saved. Nowhere in the Bible is this even intimated. It is here because of personal beliefs of some theologians of years past who believed and built on a vision rather than Scripture. This doctrine is built on an isolated verse without biblical substantiation.

This verse seems to be telling us that the entire nation of Israel will be saved. Some believe it is a restoration to the glory she once had during the reigns of David and Solomon. The answer to this puzzling verse lies in verse 25 where we read, “…until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in.” The word “Gentile” may also be translated “ethnic or nation.” This means that before Israel can be saved a multitude of other races must be included in God’s salvation plan. Once God has saved the last person He plans to save, then Israel will be completed. Do you remember in our study who the Israel of God is? It is the entire body of believers. In verse 26 God has in view the completion of His salvation program. The Israel of God is complete with all those in the body of Christ. No single nation is chosen for mass salvation because we read in Acts 10:34 that God is not a respecter of persons. Only those who are saved in Christ before the last day are included in this “all Israel.” (Online Source, The Israel of God by Dr. Ken Matto)

A cross reference to Romans 11:25 is Revelation 7:9 “After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;” “Until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in” (Rom. 11:25), “Desolations until the consummation” (Dan. 9:27), “Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled” (Luke 21:24). All three of these references speak to the desolations/judgment of Israel until the “end of the world.” The great multitude in Rev. 7:9 is the fulfillment of the fullness of the Gentiles.

So is Tebow saying homosexuality is OK? Or trying to ride the fence? Yesterday on Christianity Today by R. Albert Mohler Tebow’s Big Fumble from Mohler’s article,

All that changed yesterday when Tebow, the National Football League’s most prominent evangelical symbol, sent word through Twitter that he was withdrawing from the event. His sudden announcement came after a whirlwind of controversy over his scheduled appearance at the Dallas church. Its senior minister, Robert Jeffress, is no stranger to public controversy. His sound bites are often incendiary, but his convictions—including the exclusivity of the gospel and the belief that homosexual behaviors are sinful—are clearly within the mainstream of American evangelicalism.

Maybe giving Tebow a big benefit of a doubt but having been the victim as Pastor Jeffress of the false accusation of being compared to the wacko extremist crowd out of Topeka, KS just maybe he fell for it?? If Tebow wants to play in the big league he needs to step up and take his bumps and bruises – I hope he will!

Last year I pointed out a compromise of Tebow going to Celebration Church where Pastor Joe Champion had unbelievers toast for communion Say It Isn’t So! Tebow at Celebration Church?
– Pastor Joe Champion Unbelievers “Toast” for Communion?

This takes me to one year ago April 24, 2011, Pastor Joe Champion on Easter said this: (Emphasis underline and bold mine) (The entire sermon still available online on Celebration Church’s iTunes site)

“…In the same way remember the Lord, observe the night…. 19th birthday with son… you are not in a relationship with him…but you will remember if someone is in relationship that you are to honor them your are to remember them right? Well if you have a relationship to God guess what? Communion is for us to remember what he did for us- only through relationship, so I want you to honor the Lord today, I want you whether you are a believer or not, at least you know what you can do, Lord I will toast you, I will toast you, I don’t understand it, but God I do thank you, whoever you are Lord however all this works I do believe there is something to you. Will you stand to your feet the ushers will let you out row by row…”

Pastor Champion directly violates the very principles of the Lord’s Supper by inviting unbelievers to partake. Then to flippantly motion as if making a toast in the worldly sense saying “…Lord I will toast you, I will toast you, I don’t understand it, but God I do thank you…”- the very sort of behavior the Apostle Paul warned about!

1 Corinithians 11:29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.”

This is not Tebow’s first fumble!

“But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.”

Well might they have great sorrow of heart! So much love, so much sorrow, when the object of love is withdrawn. Judge, my Brethren, the joy which the bodily Presence of Christ would give to us this morning, and then you can tell how precious it must be. Have we not, some of us, been looking for years for the personal advent of Christ? We have lifted up our eyes in the morning and we have said, “Perhaps He will come this day.” And when the day has closed we have continued our watching in our sleepless hours and renewed our hopes with the rising of the sun. We longingly expect Him according to His promise. And like men who watch for their Lord, we stand with loins girt about waiting for His appearing.

We are looking for and hastening unto the Day of the Lord. This is the bright hope which cheers the Christian, the hope that the Savior shall descend to reign among His people gloriously. Suppose Him to appear suddenly on this platform now—how would you clap your hands! Why, the lame among you would, at the joy of His appearance, leap like a hart and even the dumb might sing for joy! The Presence of the Master! What rapture! Come quickly! Come quickly, Lord Jesus!” (Source: C. H. Spurgeon, #574 The Superlative Excellence Of The Holy Spirit No. 574, Delivered On Sunday Morning, June 12, 1864, at The Metropolitan Tabernacle, Newington.)

Dear Reader, the link at the end of this introduction will connect you to a commentary written by my wife. She spent many an hour praying and searching the scriptures for understanding and where there was question, she came to me for clarification and assistance in editing. It was a study we both grew in excitement as each question was answered. I fully support and agree with everything contained herein and believe we are both edified by having a deeper, and more importantly, clearer understanding on this topic.

There are other sources linked within the commentary which we highly suggest you take advantage of reading concerning this subject. It addresses how some have played games with God’s Word – for more than a century! Like all of the other work in discernment given to me, I have taken this one with the utmost seriousness and graveness of heart. In recent days there has been an increase of discussion from several mediums surrounding eschatology. Each one seems to claim to have all the answers but the ones standing out the most have been those pointing to an imminent rapture of the saints who escape a coming seven-year tribulation. While Independent Fundamental Baptists have a great deal right, what we have learned throws a stick in the spokes of the wheel and that cannot be ignored. As my readers are aware – I have not ignored sin in the camp of Independent Fundamental Baptists (or ones so-called). Some who claim to be IFB are/were comparable to the emerging church with its liars, false teachers and false prophets, so we started on a trek to learn and question what we believe and why. Following the path of scripture, its timeline, being very conscious to avoid cherry picking verses, and paying closer attention to the beginnings of where and when doctrines were taught, we came to the conclusion spelled out in the commentary.

Called the prince of Preachers, Charles Haddon Spurgeon has 53 different references of his using the word “rapture” or a form of it in all sermons I can find from him online. I quote Pastor Spurgeon (1834-92), because I know he was a man of great recognition in conservative and fundamental circles of Christianity who lived (Bio here). The point? Words do mean something, in not one of the references in Spurgeon’s published sermons is there a hint of “rapture” meaning some sort of escape from persecution and trials. If the rapture was such an important and popular doctrine why is there not one reference to it from Spurgeon? (More on Spurgeon’s eschatology) And why does Spurgeon if anything warn us about one of the key men who promoted that doctrine? My studies and my wife’s, required us to step back from what we have been taught, putting it under the same scrutiny of scripture we have put other doctrines we are told are Biblical. What we discovered was a shocking number of impurities, like the dross removed from gold, but oh how it shines clear now! We realize what we share here may not go over well with many who we call friend and brother/sister in Christ. Reader, are you willing to face the refiner’s fire? If you are one who believes the doctrine of the pretribulational rapture, please approach it with the attitude that the truth never fears examination!

The word rapture used to be an everyday word uttered to describe an emotion of excitement, pleasure, great joy, etc. Over time it has been equated to mean caught up. You may ask what difference it makes whether the word(s) rapture or caught up is used when referring to Jesus’ return? It makes a great deal of difference because the word rapture does not appear in the Bible directly or indirectly and the proof is in the definition for those who would argue that this word is synonymous with caught up. My question is, why is it necessary to replace simple wording needing no clarification to understand with something else? (Kathy Beardsley, No One Will Be “Left Behind” …But You Will Be Separated! Don’t ‘Get Caught Up’ In The Rapture)

Words do mean something and the source of just over a century popularizing this redefinition of rapture we believe comes out of duplicity and deceit. It primarily originates from two men most Bible believing Christians should reject – due to their aberrant teachings and backgrounds! What disturbs us is these two men in particular have been given a pass for far too long in Christian fundamental, evangelical and conservative circles. Click on the links in the commentary to access the documented public record exposing them for who they really were.

The acceptance of these two men and the doctrines they popularized, among other false teachings came at the expense of what is sound.

“Why, the lame among you would, at the joy of His appearance, leap like a hart and even the dumb might sing for joy! The Presence of the Master! What rapture! Come quickly! Come quickly, Lord Jesus!” (Spurgeon, 1864)

“To be embraced by those Divine arms—rapture begins at the very mention of it!”
(Spurgeon, 1859)

These quotes and others are what the word ‘rapture’ means to my wife and I! May you find the joy and peace of mind we have found through the simplicity of God’s Word without all the confusing and complex teachings of prophecy taught today! Continue to:

This picture will redefine a starry night, each light a galaxy with billions of stars. If this does not leave you in awe of God, it is one more reason you will be without excuse come judgment day.

For more on Creation versus Evolution here is another timely article from Apprising Ministries as well:

Dr. John Morris: Creation Happened Not Long Ago

And something from me I hope is a blessing:

Hello!? Is Anybody Out There?

Genesis 15:5
“And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.”

Here are some deep thoughts: Is the universe bigger then what we can see? Are we short-sighted? Yes! Our eyes and telescopes are too weak to see how big the universe is. Do you believe God created what we call the universe? Or do you think these galaxies just exploded into existence from nothing? Or is the universe much smaller than we know and God much greater than we understand? Are there only three dimensions or do realms exist beyond human comprehension?

Could our lack of vision of all creation, only allow us to see a small part of what’s “out there?” These questions and many more go through the minds of some in this day that science fails to explain how vast the known universe is.

So many look at themselves as the center of the universe, truly an example of how empty humans are when looking into the vastness of space, — demonstrating the feeble human condition on the intellectual level!

So many are willing to believe and even conclude that there IS alien life “out there” not acknowledging the distances you must travel that must defy all understanding of time and space to reach them or for them to reach us, — otherwise it would take thousands of years!

Back to reality from the “world” of science fiction, to date there is still no proof AT ALL of life “out there” yet in spite of that science fiction movies abound to fill that gap in our hearts and minds. The fact is without God, you must make a giant leap of faith —Science fiction is putting faith where there is no hope. But don’t tell the “UFO-ologists” that! (Those are the real kooks chasing Unidentified Flying Objects for a reason for life)

If there is any truth to UFOs this verse gives you the source, Satan!

Ephesians 2:2
“Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:”

This shouldn’t surprise you if you read your Bible what better way to deceive the masses!!!

2 Thessalonians 2:9
“Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,”

Today’s science fiction is more a false religion and fantasy revealing a truth of the human condition, — without God in the picture of the universe, visible and invisible the universe is indeed a very, very large empty place! The day has come reader, I have to tell you, the force is NOT with you! I realize I just dashed to bits another childhood dream but better learning it here then learning the truth before God!

Romans 1:20-22
“For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,”

How desperately we seek to find something to hope in, something to have faith in, instead of seeking the face of God who made the universe!

The size of the universe should boggle the mind of any rationale human being. From the smallest particles to the biggest objects visible in the cosmos. On Earth, from the simplest life form, to the human being. Frankly, I am aghast that any human can really believe that it is all “by chance.” Or other ridiculous notions that we were “planted” here by some alien race! Where’s the proof? It doesn’t exist except in vain and foolish minds, who seek to deny the existence of God. We have indeed become fools if we deny there was even a creator “God.”

Psalms 53:1
The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.

Are we foolish enough to blindly leap in faith that there is some benevolent alien being out there watching over Earth affairs that’s keeping us from destroying it?

Do we grasp and live by the concept that the universe is just part of some greater “circle of life” expanding and contracting over and over — and has always been in existence?

Dr. Stan Swinney, (a real) retired NASA scientist (designer of the space shuttle cockpit, the laser technology in guided smart bombs, and many other things), describes this amazing number as follows:
“If a man could count 20 numbers per second, it would take 100 million billion years to count the known stars.”

Psalm 147:4-5
“He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names. Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.”

Even the atheist and humanist cannot fully grasp the size of the universe and neither can this writer. So how can we be so arrogant to deny the possibility that there is a God who created everything? —This is the same argument used by those who put stock in the alien theories! Couldn’t it be that all we see was created to point to a God of infinite wisdom and power?! Can we honestly say we know enough to deny the existence of God? — How much knowledge is enough? Our science only can grasp the most basic items of the world, yet we pretend we have the answers to life?! Science changes almost daily on topics like evolution, even those who believe evolution cannot agree on all pertinent aspects! How absurd to demand people believe evolution is true then!

II Peter 3: 3-13
“Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.”

Matthew 24:29
“Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:”

Here’s a thought for these science fiction followers to chew on. Put verses like the ones above into the mix and imagine what could, make the “elements shall melt with fervent heat,” “And the stars shall fall from heaven.” Could it be what we are witnessing in the “cosmos” is our future destruction? Could the phenomena of “Black Holes” be the hand of God holding back the destruction foretold in scriptures? Or some other thing in space? Perhaps. The world seems to love a good horror movie and one day its going to get horror in full color as it happens to them!

Consider this: Is it easier to believe that there is a God out there who created all things OR that everything is “by chance?” What are you going to put your faith in? Now using logic, if you believe there is a God out there didn’t He go to a lot of trouble to create everything? Is it not sound reasoning to think that He may have provided some form of communication with us? — This isn’t too far fetched compared to those supposed “alien” contacts our scientists search for!!! Test what the Bible teaches, search its truth for yourself and see what a great God has done! When you do, you find Him to be true! Many great men and women have made this discovery when they sought to challenge the scriptures but instead of revealing a lie, they found a Creator and Savior! Don’t let your finite mind deceive you into thinking there is no God, pray that your eyes would be opened to the truth today!

Hebrews 8:1
“Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;”

— He made the universe, is there any task too small or too great for Him? My “universe” got a whole lot bigger and brighter the day Jesus Christ became my Savior, my Lord and my God! I am empty no more!
